Members of Parliament under their umbrella organization, Network for African Women Ministers and Parliamentarians (NAWMP) have criticized the Government for re-allocating the 30m US dollars borrowed for maternal and child health.

During the briefing this morning at Parliament, the publicity secretary for the forum Rose Muyinda says that the said money is allegedly re-allocated for seminars and workshops.

Muyinda says since they fought to ensure that the Government secures the money from the World Bank, they will equally fight to ensure that the money is used for its right purpose.

She notes that they are going to put the ministry of health to task to explain why the money was diverted.
