Coca Cola, FUBA and NBA begin search for basketball talent

With the game of basketball gaining ground in Uganda, coca cola company together with, local governing body FUBA and NBA are searching for the country’s young best basketball players who are to be trained with more professional skills of the game in the ongoing campaign of basketball beyond borders.

According to the company’s brand manager, Maggie Kigozi, more than eight players are to be picked from Uganda to be part of the NBA and FIBA’s elite development camp to be held in Johannesburg starting 1st-4th September.

Former NBA star, Glen Anthony Rice challenges retired professional players to pass on skills to young players as a way of developing the game as well as talent.

Meanwhile, FUBA president, Ambrose Tashobya says the search that starts today provides a platform for the country’s youngest basketball players to have better skills to lift Uganda’s game in future.
