Government hands KCCA house occupied by Gen. David Tinyefuza

The Minister of Security Mululi Mukasa has today handed over keys to kampala Capital City Authority for the house formerly occupied by the coordinator of security agencies, Gen. David Tinyefuza.

KCCA and Gen. Tinyefuza have been pulling ropes over the house with the former insisted to reclaim the house and the later saying they cannot be evicted from the house.

Following parliament’s intervention and refusal of the Parliamentary Committee on Presidential affairs to pass the budget of Security agencies, the Gen. has finally given in and handed over the house.

According to the deputy director in charge of physical planning in KCCAAgaba George, the authority is now going to embark on rehabilitating the house before putting it to its original use.

He says the act by security operatives to leave the house signals that the voice of the people can now be heard even by those who hold guns.

Barnabus Tinkasimire who chairs the presidential affairs committee confirms that the committee will now approve the security budget since the sectors has finally given up the controversial house.
