Concerned citizens protest over MPs car money

 

Four concerned citizens have protested outside parliament north wing over the money which was given to new mps to buy cars.

The four were holding placards written on “mps are heartless and shame less; others had words like mps are u with the people or against them”.

They are accusing the mps of robbing Ugandans claiming to be representing them .

The group was later led away by the DPC Kampala metropolitan police Norman musinga.

Recently some new mps each received 103 million shillings from the parliamentary commission to purchase cars.

There are over 170 new MPs, and this means that government is to part with over 17.5 billion shillings for vehicles for the MPs.
