Russia writes tough letter to Uganda over nuclear energy

The Russian president Vladimir Putin has written a letter to Ugandan president Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni over nuclear energy development. President Museveni confirms having received the letter from the Russian Federation.

Sources told us that Putin assured Museveni in the letter that Russia values the relations between Uganda and Russia and that Russia was ready to support Uganda to develop nuclear energy for the development of her people since Uganda has discovered oil.

The message from Russia was delivered to Museveni by the Russian Ambassador to Uganda at the president’s Parliamentary Buildings Office in Uganda’s capital city Kampala.

Putin noted that he was grateful for Uganda’s warm congratulations in connection with his election victory as the President of the Russian Federation. On March 4, the Russian Federation held Presidential polls which were won by Putin.
