Finally the long quest for justice has materialized for our brother Moses Kasibante after the Court of Appeal unanimously thrown out Lubaga North MP Marwaha Parminder Singh a.k.a Katongole from parliament.
This was contained in the judgment read on Thursday by court registrar Moses Kisawuzi which declared Hon. Kasibante Moses as the duly elected MP for Lubaga North and the court ordered Parliament to organise for Kasibante’s inauguration (swearing ceremony). The ruling followed an appeal which was in Kasibante’s favour after the Electoral Commission lost it to Kasibante on Monday this week.
The court ordered the Indian (Singh) to pay Moses Kasibante all the legal costs and logistics incurred in all the legal battles. Moses Kasibante is now demanding one billion shillings from former MP Singh as compensation for the time Singh kept Kasibante out if parliament.
