Parliament remembered to honour Professor Senteza Kajubi when he is already dead

 

The parliament on Friday held a special session in honour of the former Makerere University vice chancellor, Prof.  Ssenteza Kajubi, who died on Tuesday May 2nd 2012 at his home in Bugolobi, Kampala.

The body of Prof. Kajubi was brought to Parliament at 10am and the House then convened at 1:00pm to pay tribute to the fallen academician.

Several politicians from both opposition and the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) joined MPs and other mourners at parliament. Speaker after speaker described Prof. Kajubi as a great educationalist, a nationalist, freedom fighter, a father, monarchist and a great revolutionary.

From Parliament the body was also taken to Makerere University main building for public viewing before the requiem service at Namiremebe Cathedral.
