Police names Sheikh Abdul Karim Sentamu’s murders

Debates and discussions about the murder of Sheikh Abdul-Karim Sentamu were so speculative. The President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on his part alleged that Sheikh Sentamu was killed by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) militants, who are reorganizing to fight to overthrow the government of Uganda from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Unidentified gunman shot Sheikh Sentamu in Kampala last month. After his death some people like Museveni claimed that he was killed by ADF because he deserted the organization.

However there is no empirical evidence that ADF rebels had regrouped and reactivated of that they had intentions of killing Sheikh Sentamu. Uganda is reportedly fond of fabricating or exaggerating security threats to Uganda in order to justify its excessive military expenditure and attract US funding of the fight against terrorism.
Other sources in the police and CMI claim that Sheikh Sentamu was murdered by some elements of the Peoples Redemption Army whose existence is highly doubtable. The government of Uganda, army and police has been linking many members of Opposition to ADF, Al Qaida rebels, and Peoples Liberation Army
But the members of opposition say that the government’s fabrications of rebel activities do not make Museveni’s government a reliable source on the existence of ADF and Peoples Liberation Army rebels. The police too in its preliminary findings allege that Sheikh Sentamu was killed by rebels. But it is also important to note that the ADF, contrary to the common practice of insurgent groups, did not claim responsibility for the murder of Sheikh Sentamu.
