Ugandan is new Tullow oil company boss

Some people were born lucky. A Ugandan is now the Tullow Oil company boss. The company has appointed a Ugandan, Jimmy Mugerwa , who is the former Shell Kenya Chairperson as its new General Manager.

Mugerwa is the first Ugandan to head Tullow Oil Company. The statement released by the Tullow oil company announced his appointment.

Mugerwa has joined Tullow Oil Company from Shell Kenya where he has been working as the Kenya Shell Chairman since October 2009.

Jimmy Mugerwa has held a number of managerial positions with Shell inGhana,South Africa,Ugandaand theNetherlands. He will be accountable for the delivery of Tullow’sUgandawork programme and the Lake Albert Basin Development Plan together with the Government of Uganda. Mugerwa has replaced Eoin Mekie.
