Uganda Muslims congratulate members of Muslim brotherhood in Egypt

 

The leaders of Muslims communities in Uganda have congratulated the Muslim brotherhood in Egypt for having won the presidential elections. The Muslim Brotherhood member Sheikh Mohamed Morsi was on Sunday declared the new president of Egypt replacing ousted Hosni Mubarak.

Sheikh Nuhuur Muzaata of the break way Muslim faction in Kampala says the Muslim community in Uganda was very pleased upon receiving information that the members of Muslim brotherhood in Egypt had won the country’s presidential elections.

Sheikh Morsi, who had ran against Egypt’s former Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Shafiq, won 51.73% of the total vote cast. He got 13,230,131 votes against Shafiq’s 12,347,380 votes.
