Online Degree Scholarships in Public Health: The online Master of Public Health Degree builds on the success and principles of University of Liverpool’s on-campus programme, providing a foundation in the science and art of public health and reflecting the learning objectives of the on-campus programme.

Specialisation – Master of Public Health (Epidemiology)

The specialisation track in Epidemiology encompasses the study of factors affecting health and illness among populations through epidemiological methods and research.

Specialisation – Master of Public Health (Management of Health Systems)

The specialisation track in Management of Health Systems investigates the need to strengthen national, regional and international health systems by identifying the reasons of poor health delivery.

Elements that influence the delivery of sufficient health systems such as weak governance, infrastructure, information systems, planning and human resources will be addressed.

Specialisation – Master of Public Health (International Public Health)

The specialisation track in International Public Health involves a comprehensive analysis of infectious disease, nutrition, environmental health, health infrastructure, and health project management in an international context, particularly focusing on health issues in low income countries.

Intervention strategies which cover worldwide health needs will be explored and the principles of equity, access, and universality in the context of global health will be thoroughly examined.

Public Health- Online Degree Scholarships

The University of Liverpool is pleased to be able to offer two scholarships at taught postgraduate level to candidates from Commonwealth developing countries.

The awards are jointly funded by the Department for International Development (DFID) and the University of Liverpool.

The scheme is administered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC).

The aim of the Scheme is to assist students from developing Commonwealth countries who are of excellent academic calibre but for financial reasons would not otherwise be able to afford to study in the United Kingdom.

The Scheme allows the successful scholars to benefit from postgraduate study at a University in the United Kingdom which will help them to contribute toward the development of their home countries.

The scholarship meets the full costs of an award holder’s study at the University, which consists of:

  • Air fares to and from the UK
  • A maintenance allowance (£882 per month)
  • Payment of the overseas tuition fee
  • Arrival allowance
  • Dissertation costs
  • Study travel grant
  • Financial support to cover the cost of excess baggage
