FDC may lose Kasese woman MP race to NRM

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) may lose Kasese district woman MP race to the ruling National Resistance Movement if the negotiations FDC is involved in with the Democratic Party (DP) doesn’t yield fruits.

The Kasese woman MP race is largely between FDC and NRM. But signals have started indicating that FDC is destined to lose the race because the opposition supporters are divided between DP candidate, Rosemary Masika and FDC’s Winnie Kiiza.

The FDC is bended on it’s kneels persuading Ms Masika to withdraw from the by-elections because her presence in it is a big advantage to NRM’s Rehema Rukundo.

The DP vice president for westernUganda, Imam Makumbi says FDC fears the DP candidate because she is the only Mukonjo (main tribe in Kasese) in the race and if the voting goes tribal the FDC may meet election disaster.

Sources in FDC told us that Dr. Col. Kiiza Besigye is willing to give Ms Masika 30 million shillings if she accepts to quit the race.
