200 Ugandan girls jailed in Malaysia over prostitution, two killed

“We are so worried about Ugandan girls looking for jobs in Malaysia. They keep coming to Malaysia. Recently, one of my relatives also came and got involved in prostitution,” one of the concerned Ugandans, Rose Nakibuule wrote to us yesterday.
“Now my husband is trying to locate her. We don’t know where the people selling girls in prostitution took her. Last time I sent a message to some journalists including Walakira Nyanzi, about the issue. But seems the Ugandan journalists were not interested in the subject. Can you please help me to write something about this,” Nakibuule requests www.weinformers.net

She says that Ugandan girls hope to get job in Malaysia but actually to become prostitutes. Nakibuule says that two Ugandan girls already killed in Malaysia. “I have seen the pictures of how their stomachs were slashed and the things inside came out. Please do something. Help me to warn Ugandans. Don’t allow their girls to come to work in Malaysia. There are no such jobs advertised on internet and on bill boards in Kampala.

I did contact the honorary consul recently. But I was told she is in Uganda,” she says and adds: “there are over 200 Ugandan girls in the Malaysia jail and more are coming. I even talked to few girls who were saved from the prostitute syndicate. This is really terrible. Please help me and we save our girls. You can organise something maybe talk in the mosques, schools, government offices and anywhere Ugandans gathered. I think the madam consul already tries to make this an issue because I heard there is news about this in some Ugandan newspapers.”
