Smear campaigns mars FDC race to replace Besigye

Col. Kiiza Besigye has encouraged the people in a race to replace him as Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president general to present ideas and avoid the business of smearing their opponents.
Besigye today asked the supporters of opposition leader, Nathan Nandala Mafabi to work for the unity of the party than creating divisionism along tribe lines.
The supporters of Mafabi reportedly crucify people in Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu’s camp, calling them spies, foreigners and ill mannered people.
Besigye says the people who will continue to abuse Muntu or his supporters will force the party to discipline them.
Col. Besigye says that indeed the people who have been abusing Muntu need to apologise to him.
