Drama ensued at Mityana police station this afternoon when a 15 year old girl handed herself to the police, following the arrest of her boyfriend.

Nakato Mary has asked police to arrest her with Wassajja Hassan, who had been arrested for defiling her.

The police say they rescued the girl from Wasajja home, at Ttamu village where she had eloped with a man.

Phillip Mukasa the central western police spokesperson says the investigations into the matter are going on but the suspect will sent to court to answer charges of defilement.

He adds that, the victim will be handed to parents and counselors but if it fails, she will be sent to Kampiringisa remand home.
