President Yoweri Museveni is to chair a meeting which is presumed to be the last solution to address outstanding problems facing the Sports Sector in the Country.

However the date and venue for the meeting has not been disclosed according to the Minister of Education and Sports.

The Minister of Education and sports Jessica Alupo while addressing the Media at Parliament said Cabinet passed a resolution directing to play only one league but is surprised to see that two leagues have kicked off this season.

She said the President requested to have a last meeting with all stakeholders in the Sports Sector which she said will solve the Current problems in the Country.

Alupo noted that the teams which are currently playing in two leagues are the ones let down government but promised that the decision which will be taken at a meeting with the President will be the final one.

The 2012-13 seasons were chaotic with the local federation FUFA and the Uganda Super League both organizing leagues an act which has again repeated in 2013/14 despite warning from Government to have one league as per International Standards of football.
