The Uganda People’s Defense Forces parliamentary Caucus has asked the Parliamentary committee on rules and discipline not to waste its  time and efforts on investigating the absence of General David Ssejusa from the National Assembly.

The chairperson of the UPDF parliamentary Caucus General Elly Tumwine says that according to the conduct of the renegade General David Ssejusa, the UPDF is in the process of disciplining its officer.

General Tumwine noted with concern that it was unfortunate for a senior Army officer at the rank of a General go away from duty without permission and abuse the sitting government through the local and international Media.

Tumwine said that the Parliament should not focus at the legal gymnastics in this matter but rather trust the UPDF to take actions in order to avert the re-occurrence of such incidents in the forces that is disciplined and has worked for its reputation.
