It seems the democratic principles are taking a centre stage in the Republic of Kenya. The government there recently directed Tullow Oil to dialogue with the citizens and the oil company nodded in positive.

Tullow Oil plc (Tullow) therefore successful dialogued with Kenyans and Kenya’s government, Local Community leaders, cultural and religious leaders.

Tullow Oil discussed with all parties and the company promised to follow well all the norms and virtues of the people of Kenya.

The oil company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Kenyan Minister for Energy which laid out a plan for the Kenyan government local communities in Kenya and Tullow to work together inclusively. But the question is can Tullow dialogue with Ugandans in the same way?
