Government gives FDC youth money to organise Eastern Region Youth Conference

It seems President Museveni’s National Resistance Movement (NRM) government doesn’t sleep. The latest we hear is that it has given 2 billion shillings to some FDC youth to organise the first Eastern Region youth conference on 14th December 2013 at Mbale Municipal Stadium.

The organisers of Uganda Youth Platform, claims to be non-partisan, with a network of young people across Uganda, with the aim of achieving sustainable Peace, Unity, Development, Self Reliance and Employment.

The conference will run under the ROLE OF YOUTH TOWARDS WEALTH CREATION, PROSPERITY, RECONCILIATION, PEACE, UNITY and DEMOCRACY. According to statehouse plans, the conference will attract over 2,000 youth from opposition parties.  The sources in statehouse told us that the government goal in the conference is to inspire youth to embrace wealth creation, employment, prosperity, reconciliation, peace, unity and democracy. The main-question to be asked in the conference is “What can every youth do to have a positive life in future?” Also what amazes most, the conference targets youth from eastern Uganda, but its organisers are from the central and all Baganda…for example Hillary Emma Musoke (Muganda) National Chairperson of the conference and Jude Nkoyoyo (Muganda) Program Manager of the same conference.
