Breaking news:Joseph Kony is very ill, Gen. David Sejusa pleads for him

Mr. Joseph Kony, the commander and overall leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) rebel group currently living in one of the swamps in Obbo forest in Central African Republic (CAR) is suffering from a serious illness and living with HIV and he is badly in need of ARVs drugs. His less than 750 soldiers are also not in good terms with him as he has failed to get them enough food and drugs. Gen. Joseph Kony, according to sources in Central African Republic, is willing to surrender as long as the United Nations and Uganda unconditionally forgives him.

Joseph Kony and his LRA soldiers is one of the most skilled fighters among African rebel groups. Michel Djotodia, the Central African President confirms that Kony is ill and is willing to walkout of the bush if there is a conducive environment set out for him by Uganda and the UN. Kony is currently in direct contact with the government of the Central African Republic because his fighters partly helped the SELEKA movement to over throw the dictatorial regime in CAR. Mr. Joseph Kony, whom the UN and President Museveni defines as a terrorist while most people in Uganda and other African communities refer to him as a mere rebel leader, is wanted by the International Criminal Court for his alleged war crimes and other general crimes against humanity.

Kony and his LRA rebels are accused of murder, enslavement, sexual slavery, kidnap and recruiting child soldiers. However Gen. David Sejusa, the former Intelligence coordinator in Uganda government, alleges that some of the crimes mentioned were committed by president Museveni’s regime while disguising as LRA rebels in order to discredit Kony.
