Opportunity for women to study masters degree in UK a nd south Africa

The Ethel de Keyser Scholarships Fund: Ethel de Keyser was the founder of the Canon Collins Educational Trust for Southern Africa and its director until she died on July 16th. She dedicated her life to the struggle against apartheid and the fight to better the lives of the peoples of Southern Africa.

Nothing was more important to Ethel de Keyser than CCETSA’s success in building up the numbers of trained men and women in Southern Africa. The shortage of highly qualified women in these countries was of particular concern to her.

For this reason the Trustees of the Canon Collins Educational Trust for Southern Africa have decided to establish a scholarships fund in her memory.

The objectives of the Fund will be to provide scholarships for women studying for Master’s degrees, at universities in Southern Africa or in the U.K., in education, health and human rights, with special emphasis on the role of women working in Southern African countries.
