Government pays Bishop Zac Niringiye to support government programmes

The government has paid Bishop Zac Niringiye to support its programmes. The Ministry of Finance has partnered with Zac’s Black Monday Movement to promote Uganda’s budget, accountability and good governance.

Keith Muhakanizi, the secretary to the Treasury confirmed the development and said Bishop Zac will promote government resources, accountability and transparency.

However Bishop Zac will not put on black attire anymore. The Bishop launched the Black Monday Movement (a civil society anti-corruption initiative) two years back to fight against corruption in president Museveni’s government.
