Primary Seven candidates sat their Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) in November 2013, although the PLE results were released on January 31ST unlike mid-January in the previous years, a delay that drew plenty of negative talk as regards the effectiveness of Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) in handling national exams and the effect the delay would have on the start of school for Senior One students.
The exam results were released by education minister Jessica Alupo in Kampala. While the academic year of all primary and secondary schools in Uganda officially opens on February 3, 2014, Senior One students are scheduled to report to schools on February 24, three weeks after the start of the official programme.
Senior One selection placements will take place on February 7th and February 8th at WonderworldAmusement Park, Kansanga.
