Church of Uganda to construct Shrine

 

 

The Church of Uganda (Anglican) is set to construct a shrine in Namugongo, Kampala. The Church of Uganda Archbishop, Stanley Ntagali launched a fundraising drive for the construction of the Anglican Martyrs shrine on Tuesday.

The development was announced by Ntagali during at a press conference at the Church of Uganda headquarters in Kampala, Uganda.

The former Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyooyo also hailed Ntagali for launching the fundraising drive.

Ntagali said a three storeyed guest house building will be constructed at the protestant church shrine to offer accommodation facilities to tourists, visitors and pilgrims. The project is expected to begin in March.

Nkoyooyo is the chairperson of the committee spearheading the construction works.
