Government warns NGOs against exposing its wrongs

 

The government of Uganda has warned all Civil Society Organizations and Non Governmental Organisations against exposing its negative secrets.

 

Internal Affairs minister, Gen. Aronda Nyakairima on behalf Uganda and president Museveni has vowed to close down all Civil Society Organizations and Non Governmental Organisations that criticise the wrongs of president Museveni’s government.

Gen. Aronda says once the government doesn’t monitor NGO work, some organisations can be used by negative forces to remove president Museveni from power.  Aronda was speaking during the Civil Society leaders’ meeting that was held in Kampala. However, Aronda thanks all Organisations that have supported the government and contributed to the growth of the country. But the Civil Society Organizations and Non Governmental Organisations told Aronda that his government is sabotaging most of their work.
