We don’t know whether this would please the people who had prepared to contest for the posts of the president of Uganda, mayorship, LC III chairmen, LC5 chairmen and councilors in 2016. The 2016 general elections are to be extended to 2021 to allow Uganda make all the necessary electoral reforms as demanded by the opposition parties: Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) and the Democratic Party (DP) among others.

A move to extend the 2016 general elections is in its final stages before being tabled in Uganda Parliament according to sources in NRM top political administration. The National Resistance Movement abbreviated as NRM is the ruling political party in Uganda.

The move to extend the 2016 elections formulated in form of a bill is being masterminded by three ministers in president Museveni’s government and a youthful lawyer. The move will see the elections of the President, Parliamentarians and Local Government leaders postponed by five years. Of the 28 years, the Americans have had Presidents, Ronald Reagan, G.W. Bush Senior, Bill Clinton, Bush Junior and Obama, Uganda has been ruled by One Man, Museveni. All the presidents who ever ruled Uganda are dead and Museveni has no one to consult for advice about leadership.
