Escalation of sexual attacks in Uganda over sex law

 

 

Escalation of sexual attacks on women in Uganda is on increase only days after president Museveni passed the Law banning miniskirts and homosexuality.

The women are increasingly being sexually and violently attacked and undressed by idle and disorderly men, claiming that the president banned miniskirts.

Women wearing dresses in Uganda are considered as a taboo. Museveni passed the Law against miniskirts on Monday 18/02/2014 and left women specially teenagers vulnareble to sexual attacks from men.

Women in Uganda, especially in Kampala are undressed in Markets, along road sides and on social functions.
