Causes of bleeding in anus

 

Many people are experiencing the problem of bleeding in the anus. In traditional Africa, many people associate this problem in witchcraft.

But this rectal anus bleeding may be a sign of haemorroids or wounds. Haemorroids result from abnormal swelling of the veins in the anus, which help to stool control.

Bleeding in anus is usually painless, although one may feel pain when the condition gets worse.

On the other hand, wounds in the anus are usually painful and associated with small swellings around the anus. For people aged above 40 years, rectal bleeding may be a sign of cancer in the large intestines. People experiencing bleeding in anus must see a doctor for medical check up, diagnosis and for proper treatment.
