How Attorney General met justice Kavuma and made deal to oust Lukwago

A single judge, whom many Ugandans refer to as a government cadre, Stephen Kavuma over turned the last Friday court ruling by justice Lydia Mugambe, restraining Lord Mayor of Kampala, Erias Lukwago from occupying his mayoral office.

Sources in government put it that Justice Kavuma was instructed by NRM government to overturn the judgement of justice Mugambe and chase the Lord Mayor from his office again.

In an ex-parte hearing on Monday (that is the one with only the complaining party in attendance) justice Kavuma gave a ruling that again dismissed Lukwago from office.

Justice Mugambe had refused to grant attorney general Peter Nyombi leave to appeal on Lukwago’s court victory, but Nyombi manipulated the court system and had Steven Kavuma to hear an impromptu appeal ex-partie to get Lukwago out of KCCA.

The Uganda Law Society has however described Kavuma’s ruling on Lukwago as incomptent! Kavuma’s ruling made Lukwago out of office thrown out of office barely hours after he made it back after 4 months.
