Uganda leads Africa in alcohol consumption

 

 

The consumption of alcohol in Uganda has reached its peak amongst the youths. Ugandans mainly consume cheapest packed beers in sachets.

Alcohol in Uganda is mainly consumed by jobless people and foreigners. Drinking beers and talking cocaine is a common practice in Uganda.

The government says the consumption of alcohol and drugs affects the country’s economic growth and it is a threat to Uganda’s security. Alcohol consumption is high in Uganda but what is worse is that it is much amongst the youths.

The police commander of Nebbi, one of the districts in Uganda that leads others in accodating drunkens, Onesmus Mwesigwa says many crimes in Uganda are related to alcohol consumption. The Member of Parliament for Kampala central, Medie Nsereko says they are planning to make a law that will force drunken Ugandans to reduce on their hours of drinking.
