Ms Rebecca Kadaga, the Speaker of Uganda Parliament was decorated with the Grand Cross of the National Order of Benin. This Grand Cross of the National Order of Benin is equivalent to the medals president Museveni gives to his supporters in Uganda.

The grand cross was was bestowed on Kadaga during her visit to the Benin President, Yaya Boni at his Presidential Palace in Cotonou, Benin on Friday.

President YAYA Boni recognized the dignity and prestige the people of Uganda and Kadaga in particular give to Benin and Africa at large.

Kadaga was in Porto-Novo, Benin to attend the Opening of the 1st Session of the 6th Legislature on Friday when president YAYA chose to giver her the grand cross. Kadaga encouraged the People of Benin to include women in decision making processes. The Parliament of Benin has only six women representatives out of 83 Members of Parliament.
