National Biotechnology and Biosafety Bill, 2012 withdrawn

 

The communication from government shows that there are plans to withdraw the Retirement Benefits Sector Liberalization Bill, 2011 and the National Biotechnology and Biosafety Bill, 2012.

The Ministries of Public Service and Finance recently held discussions and proposed that the Retirement Bill should be withdrawn from Parliament.

Sources told us that the ministry of public service and ministry of finance are about to notify parliament so that they make a formal withdrawal of biosafety bill 2012.

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah confirms that the national biotechnology and biosafety bill 2012 has over stayed in parliament.
