Uganda has sent 400 soldiers to Central African Republic on a peacekeeping mission as part of the African led international support mission in Central Africa.

The first batch of the UPDF (Ugandan soldiers) went to Central African Republic to hunt LRA rebel leader, Joseph Kony. Uganda’s Foreign Affairs minister Sam Kutesa revealed the second deployment of UPDF in Central African Republic while he had gone to Paris.

Kutesa went to Paris on Friday where he met his French counterpart Laurent Fabius, to seek support to the UN General Assembly presidency.
