Luyiga to apologise to Lukwago

KCCA councilor representing Makerere University Bernard Luyiga now wants to reconcile with Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago. He also wants to apologise to the people of Kampala for having spearheaded a campaign to impeach Lukwago.

Luyiga wants to apologise to Lukwago at a time when all his attempts to become Lord Mayor have failed.

Luyiga led the petition to have Lukwago impeached and forced him out of office, tried to replace him and even made posters. But he now wants to apologise to Lukwago.

Luyiga reportedly made a deal with KCCA director Jenifer Musisi and Kampala Minister Frank Tumwebaze to have Lukwago impeached.

The impeachment of Lukwago has had hampered work at KCCA … the councilors can’t hold meetings without the Lord Mayor in place. The KCCA act provides that the Lord Mayor is the one who must preside over KCCA meetings.
