President Museveni has reiterated his government’s neutrality on cultural institutions as he receives Kasese opposition converts.

Museveni reiterated the government’s position of neutrality as far as cultural institutions are concerned and said that he has also maintained NRM principle of zero tolerance to sectarianism.

The President was speaking in Kasese while he received opposition converts from Kasese district who crossed from FDC to NRM.

Museveni, who is the National Chairman of NRM, received the converts, comprising mainly of the top FDC leadership in Kasese district, at his Rwakitura country home in Kirihuura district.

Museveni says his government restored cultural Institutions that had been abolished by the Obote regime and also brought about democracy in order to allow wananchi make their own decisions and choices for example creation of new kingdoms.
