FDC in talks with Muslim leaders

 

The opposition party, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) on Wednesday 23rd July 2014 hosted the FDC 3rd Annual Ramadhan Dua and iftar at the FDC National Party Headquarters in Kampala.

 

The function started with the Dua which was led by Luweero Muslim District Khadhi Sheikh Mukalazi Kyobe who prayed for Party FDC, its leaders as well as praying for the FDC departed leaders including FDC founding National Chairman Alhajj Dr.Sulaiman Kiggundu, former FDC National chairman Samuel Kalega Njuba, former FDC Vice Chairman and Bukoto East Ex-MP Hon.Vincent Kimera, Hajat Saliimah Nandawula, who was ex FDC secretary for PWDS among others.

 

The party had speeches from Imam Kasozi, FDC Ex-National Youth League Vice chairman,Hon.Angoliga Mahmoud Salim, the FDC secretary for Defence who invited the Party President Hon Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu who told the people that despotic leaders of Uganda today are fighting to change are desots and tyrants just because they are not religious.

 

The FDC President Invited the day’s Chief Guest Immam Idd Ibans Kasozi who is the Vice President of the Uganda Muslim Youth Assembly (UMYA) and also a re known academia who thanked FDC for inviting the deserving Muslims for Iftar. The mataali group from Butambala entertained the guests and it was ended by a sumptuous Iftar.
