Museveni asks Mufti Mubajje to apologise to Prince Nakibinge

President Museveni has asked the Mufti of Uganda Hajji Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje to apologise to the breakaway Muslim faction led by prince Kasim Nakibinge and Supreme Mufti Hajji Zubair Kayongo. Museveni says for Mubajje to bow down and apologise to Prince Nakibinge and Hajji Zubair means reconciliation.

Muslim factions in Uganda have fought endless wars for along time. Museveni says Luweero district chairman, Hajji Nadduli who says Mubajje needs to go and visit Prince Kassim Nakibinge at his home as a means of reconciliation is right.

Mubajje, Prince Nakibinge and Hajji Kayongo assisted by the government are the only people in Uganda to end the differences between Muslims. Museveni was meeting Muslim leaders in a closed door meeting in Nakasero over the weekend.

Prince Nakibinge who is also reffered to as “the grandfather of islam” in Uganda, Supreme Mufti Hajji Kayongo and Mufti Mubajje have the whole backing of Muslims in Uganda.
