DO WOMEN FEAR PARLIAMENT??????
The new cabinet of Uganda’s Parliament is amusing if you start looking at how it is formed.
This means concerning their gender, age and regions where they come from and because of this it has gotten me thinking, Do the women fear parliament in such a way that they don’t make up half of the members.
The current cabinet has 77 members of which only 22 are women and even when you look closely , the posts which are taken up by these ministers are not very high or important for example most of them are state ministers.
This comes to show us that the women in this country need to be empowered so that they can take up those posts because with the current women emancipation, we are all equal and also deserve better.
The other thing i would briefly talk about is how the cabinet is full of old people that is about 53 ministers are above 50years which is quite big for them, i wonder whether in our parliament there is no retirement age or whether it does not apply to those ministers.
Not finding a better way of saying it but i think that is why these Ministers can not properly make decisions for the country because they are old and do not know what would benefit the young people since they make up the most population in the country.
All in all, i think the parliament needs a serious reshuffle so that some of the ministers can retire and leave room for the young people who are being groomed for their jobs no wonder many youth do not have jobs. hope the implementer’s can make a balance so that all of us are happy.
