Nationwide campaign started by youth in run-up to elections

With the country preparing to get into the political season, youths under their body, Students’ Brotherhood are set to move a nationwide campaign that is geared to compel Government to put in place better electoral reforms before the nation gets into election time.

According to the guild president Makerere University who doubles as the president of the students brotherhood in the country, Bara David Bwiruka, the future of this nation lies in the hands of the youth who now need to get on top of everything geared towards transforming this nation to attaining full democracy.

Bara continues to mention that they plan to hold country wide rallies to engage with the intention of educating youth, among other citizens, on the need to have better electoral laws for the nation and a clear process. He warned that if they are not considered by Government, they will call on all youth, who constitute the biggest percentage of Uganda’s population, not to vote.
