AFCON 2017: Coach Micho names Werder Bremen striker in his 21 man squad.

The announcement was made on May 18 2016 by Cranes coach Milutin Micho Sredojovic during the weekly press conference at FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala Uganda in preparation for two ahead matches.

The player is question is Lorenzo Melyvn who plays for German side club SV Werder Bremen as a left winger or as a striker. He is born of a Ugandan father and a German mother.
Uganda Cranes are scheduled to play an international friendly against Zimbabwe in Harare on May 31st before facing off with Botswana in the return league of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers slated for June 4th away.
Two players from the Azam Uganda Premier League have been summoned to the national team which include; KCCA FC’s left back Joseph Ochaya , Vipers’ striker Erisa Ssekisambu and
Among other new player faces are Rayon Sports’ sensation Davis Kasirye and Proline’s Edris Lubega who was summoned from the FUFA Big League.

Goal keeper.  Dennis Onyango, Robert Ondongkara, Salim Jamal.

Defenders.    Dennis Iguma, Joseph Ochaya, Jjuko Murushid, Isaac Isinde Wasswa, Hassan Mawanda.

Midfielders.  Mike Azira, Kalid Aucho, Tony Mawejje, Moses Oloya, Kizito Luwagga, Godfrey Walusimbi.

Strikers .     Farouk Miya, Geoffrey Massa, Davis Kasirye, Emmanuel Okwi, Erisa Ssekisambu, Edrisa Lubega, Lorenzo Melyvn.
