Uganda national examinations board (UNEB) today morning released the 2017 primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results Boys performing better compared to girls

According to the UNEB secretary Daniel Odongo says a total of 57,198 pupils passed in first division, 293,977 passed in the second division, 128,573 passed in third division while 91,504 passed in forth division. 57,354 in U hence failing completely.

However the board is withholding results of 2559 candidates pending completion of investigations

She will release the 2017 PLE results today and the candidates can access the results through SMS thereafter,” Mr Muinda said.

Pupils can check there results via SMS: Go to Messages, Type PLE, Leave a space, Type full index number, Send to 6600. (Local network charges apply)

More than 640, 000 pupils  sat for Primary leaving examinations last year.
