Interpreter found to help in trial of Bulgarians accused of ATM theft

Court has secured an interpreter to start trial against the Bulgarian nationals alleged to have forged Stanbic Bank ATM cards.

According to the resident state attorney Buganda road court Martin Rukundo, investigations into the matter are complete.

One Dr. Andama from Makerere University School of languages will assist court to interpret for the Bulgarians who said earlier that  they did not understand English which is the official language in Ugandan courts.

The three Ivan Ganchev, Milen Katsarski and Adrian Dimitrov were charged with 30 counts of forgery after trying to delay the investigation by claiming they did not understand English.

They appeared before Buganda road court grade one magistrate Julius Borore who fixed 31st October to start hearing the case.
