Born Again churches asked mps to stand presure over Anti-gay Act

Born again churches have asked The NRM Mps to stand their position on Anti gay bill.

Addressing a press conference this afternoon at parliament pastor Martin SSempa of Makerere community church, Pastor Joseph SSerwadda of victory Christian center joined by MP John mulimba samia Bugwe North asked the NRM legislators not to hide to pressure from the president to change their position on the Anti homosexual bill.

The NRM members have been summoned by their party chairman tomorrow at state house Entebbe but the agenda of the meeting is not known.

However pastor’s ssempa and serwadda say if the matter of the anti gay bill comes up they should reject the president’s proposal to reconsider the bill.

The lawmakers have been told to think of the role they were elected for, to represent the values of the people they represent.

The NRM Caucus meeting comes at a time after the president wrote to speaker kadaga accusing parliament for passing the controversial Anti-gay Bill without quorum and described homosexuals as abnormal beings who can be rescued through economic empowerment.
