The electoral commission chairman, Eng. *Badru Kigundu* has today
announced *19th
April 2014* as the day the commission will hold the Kampala mayoral and
*NRM* expelled MPs by elections respectively.

Addressing a news conference at EC head offices in Kampala,
*Kigundu*revealed that update of voters starts on *15th
to 19th march* with display for *27th march to 7th April 2014* and
nomination for candidates to be held on *31st March and 1st April
2014*with candidates warned not to do fundraising.

When asked about the pending court cases for the mayor and the MPs,
*kigundu* mentioned that they are acting in accordance with the law.

Among the constituencies to hold by-elections include, Buyaga west county,
Kampala central, Lwemiyaga county and Ndorwa east county.
