Graduands at KIU 14th graduation asked to not underestimate jobs

The minister of health Dr Elioda Tumwesigye has urged graduands not to under estimate jobs as  they move out because the job market is competitive. Dr Tumwesigye made the remarks while prociding over the 14th graduation ceremony for Kampala International university.

The minister said that as the students complete universities they need to be innovative and create their own jobs instead of wasting a lot of time searching for white collar jobs. Dr Elioda however said that a lot of job opportunities are coming up in the health sector urging science students to be ready to take on these jobs. He said that with the 9th parliament passing the heart and cancer institute bill to make these bodies autonomous, Government plans to establish regional centers for these institutes and these will require a lot of human resource.

About 900 students from Kampala University were awarded with bachelor’s degrees, diplomas and certificates in a various disciplines including medicine, dental surgery, education, business Administration, applied mathematics and information technology among others.
