Police have arrested 10 boda boda cyclists in Kampala road who have been riding without crash helmets.

Bazil Mugisha, the Commissioner in charge of the Traffic Department says the cyclists contravened traffic and safety regulations of 2004.

He also says Police have arrested boda boda riders who have been found carrying more than one passenger.

Mugisha says the suspects will be produced to court on Monday.

The suspects once they are found guilty of committing the offence will pay a fine not exceeding four currency points or imprisonment not exceeding one month.

Police have arrested many boda bodas today because they cyclists knew that the force doesn’t work on Sunday.
