President Museveni has mourned Brig. Barnabas Kili, who was the minister of Education and Sports during late Iddi Amini’s regime. Kili passed away at Arua district hospital last Tuesday at the age of 91 after suffering from fever and low blood pressure.

In a press statement from Statehouse today Museveni says Kili was one of the good ministers during Amin’s bloody regime that Uganda has lost.

Late Kili was buried on Thursday at his ancestral land in Omvuko village in Arua district.

Most of the mourners including the MP for Terego County, Kasiano Wadri and Uganda’s state minister for Transport, Simon Ejua described Kili as suave, debonair and an instrumental educationist.

Ejua says Kili was the first military Director of Education and served well during his tenure of office by ensuring that Uganda’s children get quality education.
