African Union nations vows to deploy more foreign troops in Somalia

Uganda peace keeping troops in Somalia

The African states under African Union (AU) have vowed to deploy more foreign troops in Somalia. But the Al Shabaab rebels fighting the foreign sponsored government of Somalia vows to ‘clash’ foreign troops.

Currently it is only Uganda and Burundi that have deployed troops in Somalia. The African states say they want to deploy more troops in Somalia to end terrorism on the African continent.

The Al Shabaab fighters on July 11th set bombs that killed over 70 people and scores injured in Kampala.

The insurgence in Somalia and terrorism top the agenda of the African Union summit taking place in Kampala.
