Veterinary doctors blamed for tsetse flies in Uganda

The veterinary doctors have been blamed for the cases of sleeping sickness in eastern Uganda.

Sleeping sickness is a disease (infection) passed to human beings through tsetse flies bites. The disease is so common in Lango and Teso sub regions among others.

The Minister of Uganda for Health, Dr. Stephen Malinga says the problem of sleeping sickness can be eliminated if the veterinary doctors vaccinate and spray the livestock.

He says sleeping sickness should be eliminated in Uganda especially among areas where people depend on livestock.
