Ugandans have been urged not to vote opposition politicians for Mayoral, MP, president and local council seats in 2011 elections.

This has been sounded by the Vice President of Uganda, Prof. Gilbert Balibaseka Bukenya in Kampala today. Bukenya urged Ugandans to vote members of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Bukenya urges Ugandans to remember that it was President Museveni who restored kingships, rule of law, democratic elections and freedom of speech and expression in Uganda.

He says Uganda ’s past leaders like the colonialists, Milton Obote and Iddi Amin did nothing to guarantee the rule of law and the growth of democracy in Uganda . Bukenya says its NRM and President Museveni who have stopped army killings of civilians, introduced education and prosperity for all programmes among others.
